I’m not quite sure if this is just how the Tacoma rides.. it seems abnormal to me with only 62k miles but I’m curious what could be up.

I’ve noticed my truck is very jiggly after hitting small bumps or potholes. On the highway, if I go over a sizable dip or hit the little offset connectors for bridges and such, the wheels bounce and truck drifts like I’m going to lose control.

I don’t think it’s always been like this, but at least the last 10-15k miles.

2018 TRD OR with 62k miles.

Where should I look? Shocks shot? Is there an easy way to test them or replace and pray?

You like a sales rep for them or something seems like every other post you are recommending those things. Oh and OP sounds like you need new shocks.

Nope, just threw my face at the wall that was all my weird issues for so long with jitters swaying vagueness and roll and AGHH's fixed them; trying to save other people with similar issues some headache.

Other than excessive tire pressure, could be the shocks, but imo they should last longer unless driven on crappy roads a lot. I'd be even checking tie rod ends.

    Stock TRDOR suspension, 265/65R17 Wildpeaks.

I actually just replaced the wildpeaks, because the inner edges were completely worn. I didn’t realize that could be a sign of bad shocks, but it looks like maybe it is?

Inner edge is usually alignment; negative/toe-out.
    When was your last alignment?

Shocks might not be that bad...
You might be experiencing darty behavior from bumpsteer, exacerbated by a toe-out condition.

You should check the torque on the U-bolts on the rear leaf. I have seen others report they came loose and the leaf packs were sloppy and moving causing this. But at 60k, the stock shocks could be done. The alignment too!

Shocks. They are junk after 30k. You will notice the front end diving more under heavy braking. Start there then move on to a full leaf pack.

13,000 miles and i'm still waiting for my shocks to break-in. not sure i'm a fan of digressive damping.

I've got a bit over 18k miles. Shocks work a hell of a lot better than when they were new. I still wish toyota used KYB's instead.
