Ok, I need to change my oil pan gasket, and I have some questions about the procedure.

    1. I've seen people use RTV and I've seen others use a rubber gasket, what is better to use?

    2. Do I really need to fully drop the pan if I use a gasket? If so, how hard is it to drop the pan from the motor?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
What makes it hard is the clearance on the front differential because of the oil pick up tube .

The oil pans like to stick on the block tight try not to bend the pan prying it off.

Not sure I have never done a 2.7 with a lift kit.

I just drop the differential on the 3.4`s

I use Toyota Fix it in place unless the engine is out then I use a gasket.

Your sure the pan is leaking and the oil is not coming down from the valve covers??

    Good Luck!
