    Hi All.

Need some help here. Installed Icon leafs with option 2 and measured a lift gain of 2.75" from before (Have camper shell, sliders, lots of sound deadener, stock springs).

What would I order for shocks? Can I just get the OME shocks (60091) from this kit? https://**********/products/ometac-2gen-2-5stc?_pos=1&_sid=38d08f10b&_ss=r

How would you go about measuring what you need?

With stock shock mounting locations your limiting factor is going to be compressed total length of the shock.

    Get out the tape measure:

    1. measure center of the bolt on the lower shock mount to the bottom surface of the upper shock mount.
    2. measure distance from top of bump stop to frame
    3. subtract # 2 from # 1
    4. subtract expected squish of bumpstops from # 3.

There is your longest collapsed length of the shock.

The OME 60091 shocks wouldnt have a problem working as they will work with stock leaf packs no prob. That stated you are probably leaving some on the table with that choice as your new leaf pack is likely quite a bit thicker and wouldnt utilize the full collapsed length of that shock. Something like a Bilstein 5125 part num 33-230337 might be better but you will have to confirm the longer collapsed length will work via the measurements above.

Subscribing. I'll be picking up this leaf pack soon as well and need to confirm if I should keep my TRD Bilstein 5160's or swap to something else for better travel. I assume I'll just have to install, measure, then figure it out but hoping this thread may save me some time and hassle.

I’m assuming I take the measurement of frame to bump stop with the tires off the ground?

What do ppl normally do if relocating shock mount? I’ve seen where they put it sort of straight above & in line with axle. Anything less substantial?

And they will be fine. I had the 60091 shocks when I had ome Dakar leafs that gave me around the same lift heights.

The calculations will give you the same final figure regardless if the suspension is fully drooped or at normal ride height.

I'm running stock bump stock right now. I've been thinking about replacing it but I hadn't decided with what I would replace it. Any suggestions?
