check with @ACEkraut on the license plate mount. Not sure if he still sells them, but he was making a good one for folks that did not want to drill the bumper cover.
    Nice truck by the way.

Thanks for the tag. I am still making them and a link to the sale thread is in my signature below. Fair warning though that my life has become extremely busy and it is taking me some time to be able to fill orders. We can discuss all the details if you are interested. Congrats on the new truck!

I practically shredded the driver's side seat cover in my old car because it shifted so much when I got in and out. I haven't had these for very long, but they have a very snug fit so far. If you buy both front and back seat covers there are a lot of pieces to attach and the only issue I had was finding a good connection spot for the front hooks on the passengers seat. I had a hard time finding seat covers that looked sharp, but wouldn't break the bank. The pictures make them look a little gray, but mine are definitely black in person andhis pic is a better representation of the color.

Thanks for the suggestion! I used a huge air compressor to clean all the "hard to reach" spots in my car before I sold it, so I can definitely see why this would be so handy.

I have been quoting 3-4 weeks and trying to get stuff done sooner. I am almost a month into moving after purchasing a new house and getting everything moved from the old location to the new location, including moving in my 83 year old mother. COVID in the family has delayed the process by a week so I have not progressed as fast as I would like but I am working on it.

First nice truck! I scrub my bed pad twice a year. I pull it out, place on driveway and scrub it. I then let it dry and rinse the other side. While that dries I wash the bed and let it dry. You may say a little over the top and I would agree but pull it out and wash it. You can do it less or more depending on what you put in the bed.

Thank you very much. I am really enjoying it! I had thought that might be the route to go, but I have a gravel driveway, so maybe I could a folding table or saw horses to allow it dry properly. Thank you for the suggestion.

Good advice, I don't think it's over the top to treat your stuff nice. I'm proud of the stuff I spend my money on :)

25-30 years ago there were two items that I purchased on a whim that have proved invaluable over the years...

    1. Gas powered pressure washer.
    2. Air Compressor and air tool set

Both were used, garage sale items. The pressure washer gets used at least once every couple weeks, every thing from cleaning mud off trucks, cleaning the house siding, or keeping the driveway nice looking. Air compressor gets used quite often as well, it's especially useful when working on cars and blowing off residual water when cleaning the cars. Neither are necessary to get through life, and are those items that are easily dismissed, but once you have them you will find them useful.

While black looks beautiful, I find it to be a bitch for a daily driver to maintain. I don't understand the worry about drilling the bumper for the plate bracket. You say your leasing the truck and already talking about the next one.... drill that thing and put the plate on. Save the money for paying your bills and improving your credit profile. The next owner isn't going to care and it has no bearing on the value of your truck when you go to turn it in.

I just moved from a state that requires two license plates to a state that only requires one. I wanted to remove the front license plate bracket so I am in an opposite situation. The part of the bumper that the bracket attaches to is a single piece and not part of the whole bumper cover. It snaps on and doesn’t have any types of screws or fasteners. A new one from Toyota is $230. You can take off the original and try and find one at a junk yard as a disposable. Or if they give you a hard time when you turn it in just buy the new cover then. I honestly don’t even think they will care if the bracket is mounted correctly.

My guess is that they changed the design but have not changed the instructions. Both the top and bottom of my rear seat covers unzip or tear away but there is no string on any of the pieces. There are zippers on each side of the center piece on top and the bottom piece has velcro. There was a strip of fabric attached to the velcro when I unpacked it, so you could keep it on for easier access if you wanted. Either way you should be able to pull the seats forward without much effort since all 6 pieces are more easily disconnected that they demonstrate in the instructions.

That would probably be the quickest way to clean it.

I agree about both items. I have bid on quite a few pressure washers because I know they are useful. I've always been outbid, but hopefully I will get one sooner than later. My grandfather has 3 air compressors, so I snatched one of his smaller ones and I use it pretty often.

I've had 2 blue, 3 silver, 1 gun metal and 4 black vehicles. The black ones were my favorites (except for my blue Karmann Ghia) and I never found them to be as troublesome as other people do, however I do feel like the dirt shows more easily on the Tacoma than it has on any of my other cars. None of the others black ones had metallic paint, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Very interesting.....Thanks for the info! I agree about the dealership not caring about the bracket because it was obviously meant to go on the truck. The bumper looks great without holes and I may decide to do away with the front plate (2 are not required here), so I would rather not have the holes just in case. In the end it's really more of a preference than anything.
