    Hi All,

I just installed this compressor but i didn't check if it has any oil in it. Has anyone installed it and measured how much oil it has if any?

I can only assume it does if going by the service manual.
As it say to drain the oil form the OLD compressor and measure it.
Then drain the same amount from the NEW compressor.

Having said that, I’d probably wait around for a few of the Techs on this site to help you out.
Don’t take my word for it. I do not do AC work. It’s foreign to me.

I've had compressors come with anything from no oil to too much oil, unless it comes with a sticker staing how much it has in it it's best to dump it out and measure in the correct amount.

If you only changed the compressor and no other components the proper procedure is to dump the oil from the old compressor, measure it and make sure the new one has the same amount.

Old one barely had any oil in it, maybe 1/10oz. Is there a way to get oil out of the compressor if it's already installed? I can disconnect hi pressure hose and rotate it by hand, would it work?

No the oil is circulated in the system along with the refrigerant, it won't pump out by turning the compressor.
On many compressors you can't even get it all out by dumping them over but you can get close.

Too much oil in the system will negatively impact cooling and too little will negatively impact compressor life so you want to get as close as you can.
