    True, although used higher output alternators are easily had for cheap (GM, Jaguar etc).

    Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    I venture that Alternator is built to have High output between 1000and 1500 rpm rather then normal road rpm.

    Wow. 116 threads yet only 244 posts. I should have researched more myself it seems. One of those units would be cool, but I absolutely suck at stuck welding

    I want to explore this more as well.

    Just to know I did not see anything more then a Power Source no Wire feeder or Tig Torch No Gas Solenoids .

    Seen it done with two 12 volt batteries and jumpers, control your amperage with rod diameter. Works a heck of a lot better than you would imagine.
