Is there a simple fix, and I do mean simple, to install an amp just for the rears that will sync in with the stock head unit and front speakers using the volume control in the stock head unit?

I've installed new Kicker speakers all the way but the rears still have no volume.

    Thanks

You’d need a DSP amp and you might as well get a 4 channel minimum.

How hard or how easy is it to install an amp for just the rear speakers. Can it be installed where it is controlled by the same volume switch as the fronts (stock)? I know how to do this with a home system but haven't done it with a car system.

You need EQ more than power on the rear speakers. This is why I recommended a DSP amplifier.

You can definitely install an Alpine Powerpack amp inline. These adapters work well for splicing into the speaker wiring without cutting your truck's wiring:

You can power the powerpack amp using that adapter also.
