Front skid plate not compatible

    I bought the OEM skidplate for my 2011. Has a slot for 1 towhook. The other towhook (passenger side) now does not fit. It looks like it will fit if I put about a half inch spacer in. Has anyone else experienced this?

    No, mine does not look like that. I think mine is for the non-TRD tow hooks. Thanks!

    There is only one OEM skid plate, sounds like u got the wrong part.

    That is the way it is suppost to be. They redesigned the skid plate to reduce viberation and bumper rub.

    Well I couldn't tell you the name of the person I spoke with at Toyota. But, it was a lady and i expressed the same concerns flyboy01 expressed. That was the answer she gave me. Sorry it was 2 years ago when i called.
