Hello, looking for some opinions and just to get educated on the idea of a LCE header. I’ve been doing some homework on the topic and am interested in possibly purchasing either an LCE street or long tube header. Im not too familiar with the difference between these two and what each design will improve. I’m looking for some more lower end torque at highway speeds as it seems many of you with the 2.7L hunt down. What do you guys run and recommend? Open to all feedback and preferably as much as possible.

    LCE Long tube:

I have the long tube version...love it. The biggest difference will be noticed on hills. I love it.

There are many threads on here discussing these headers.

Shorty headers .... help a engine make more torque from the mid range into the lower rpm

Long tube headers .... allows an engine breathe easier up into the higher rpm range

Tri Y headers ..... in either long tube or Shorty headers design , if you add merge collectors and design the header tubes to match the firing order it can help scavenge exhaust pulses . Doing this will increase torque

I’m hoping when you say “up into the higher rpm range” you mean like:
The long tubes are like; The Shorty+, or the Shorty2.0.
Hits those rpm’s,,from start to finish,, the second you ‘put the pedal to the metal’ correct?

Thanks for the reply’s everyone. I actually did peak around the forums trying to find info on the LCE headers. It’s just not very clear if they referring to long or short tube setup. Thanks for the info everyone!

I need help on the hills. So going to go with long tube makes most sense. Has anyone deleted the catalytic converter and noticed any improvements? Any problems bypassing the O2 sensors?
