Well done, @tamer. It's a good feeling to have that crap out of there, isn't it?

Jumping in late here, but I pose a question to the forum. As part of the ignition sequence, every time I turn the key to "ON" the horn does a little double-tap/double-beep and it pisses me off...royally. Especially when I'm in a busy parking lot; the double-tap undoubtedly turns heads and folks think I'm honking at them for any number of reasons...maybe they think they're hot, maybe they think I want them out of my way, who knows... it's just unwanted attention. I've pushed the "ejection seat" blue button on this KARR dongle located below my steering wheel, and it goes away for a day or two. Then like a thief in the night, it magically reappears at the most inopportune moment. So my question is this: can anyone say definitively that the horn double-tap during my ignition sequence is directly tied to the KARR security system? Thx!

yes removing this will stop the annoying double beep horn upon startup! Just removed the whole mess of KARR wires from my 2015... took about an hour to get it removed and wiring cleaned up. Then while under there I installed the 12.Volt Solutions remote start with GPS module and iPhone/iWatch app, works like a charm!

Thanks @4xdog for the photos and heads up about the ignition wire! Once that wire was spliced back together it started right up. Although my KARR harness looked slightly different (mine had a huge box attached), I was able to follow the wires and get it all disconnected.

Exactly. One of my first posts after getting mine.

Of course I couldn't not push it, then push and hold, then push while starting, then push while turning it off, then push while rolling the windows up and down. Then push while jumping up and down in the seat, nothing. Reminded me of the little boy and the marshmallow video.

Yes. I had the exact same problem when I purchased a used Tacoma awhile back. The truck's horn would do the "double tap" horn sound when I started it. I did what @Inferno_TRD_Pro did. Removed the KARR alarm system and installed a 12 volt solutions remote start. Heres a video I found on You Tube of a guy removing a KARR system from his FJ Cruiser. It helped me out alot when I removed the one from my truck.
