Noise is coming from directly under the front passenger side seat.
It sounds like metal on metal rattle, like a heat shield missing a screw rattling on exhaust pipe.
I think I have in pin pointed to an exhaust joint where two pipe meet and there are screws on either side with springs. I think there is a gasket with a tiny hole there causing the annoyance at 2k RPMs.

    Anyone? Anyone?

Am on onto something? Everything else under the truck is buttoned tightly.

Could be that but most likely the heat shield over the cat.

I too have the same problem. Just noticed it a few days ago. I looked under and the heat shield is good. The spot welds rusted years ago and I drilled new holes and bolted it together. Bolts are tight.

About 1500-2000 rpm and you can hear it cleanly. Have to have a friend over or wait till the noise gets worse.....
