ez-pz no issues at all. grab the oem tss cover on the sides and slide it down towards the dash and it pops right out. the wire harness comes coiled up with a tie, i left the harness tied up and plugged the wire harness in and plugged the power cord in, put the new camera cover over everything and then just slid it back up into place and done. just remember to take your orange clips (2) off the oem cover and put them on the fitcamx cover...

Thanks! I’ve never been a fan of the look of the Dongar wiring harness for the Garmin and I’ve always had issues connecting my phone.

EDIT: it’s less than 5 minutes with the longest time spent getting those orange clips off the OEM cover.

They do, but everyone on the road hasn’t seen what you post on Tacomaworld!
    J/k...
I’m sort of an asshole so I blur mine.

I could see it being an issue if you post something like the unique way you executed your kill switch or where/how you hide your key

The way you installed your bed side decals hurts my OCD brain, but it’s different, and I like different. Good idea!

My fitcamx arrived but haven't installed. Did you happen to do a rear camera as well?

I have the 900X plus 2ch and the 124x battery. The differences between the X and S is fairly significant and it does mean more than what you are saying. They do like that X in their model names lol You’re not wrong on the other stuff though. I will say there’s some drawbacks on these things.

The LTE module doesn’t play nice with AT&T. Some people have had success but AT&T is the main problem without diving into it. They don’t like cloud devices so plans and compatibility don’t line up with it well. AT&T couldn’t get it to work, I returned mine. I hear Verizon works the first time though.

There is no On/Off switch on the Dash-cam (this is a HUGE issue). Yes it can monitor voltage and turn off at set levels, yes parking mode with motion or impact or time lapse is very cool, sensitivity has to be played with to no end, but with no extra battery and in parking mode and you have a secure garage to park in, why be in parking mode draining your battery when you’re in bed? You can use the app to power it down but that’s a PIA. Then if you hardwire it, you still choose what amperage it charges with (cig lighter/hardware switch or 5a/9a). Then with the extra battery, say your in parking mode so long you drain your extra battery. Now you got to work, 15 mins away. It takes a min of 40mins to recharge it to 100% on hardwired setting. So now you won’t have parking mode all day long while at work. I think you get the drift. For others it’s a necessity cause they park outside and I would advise the extra battery too. I do not use voltage sensing control. I don’t trust it to not strand me on some desert island in the middle of nowhere sometime. I wired in an on/off switch so when I come home to my garage I turn it off but I have to remember to turn in on when I leave too but that becomes habit and I have a fully charged battery even if my work is 10 mins away. All day parking mode!

Instead of rewriting what is already documented by blackboxmycar about the S and X versions see this page, it explains things pretty well even though they talk more to the 750 than 900, the X/S diffs are about the same. The diffs between 750 and 900’s are a different subject lol https://www.blackboxmycar.com/blogs/news/blackvue-x-vs-s

Hey all I’m looking for some advice,
I'm looking between getting the Boss 2.5 with remote reservoirs or Dobinson MRR's, both kits are around the same price when fully priced.

Anybody have any input? is a 2.5” single tube rear shock better than a 2.2” with a Remote resi?

I've heard great things about both, just looking for some insight, this thread always seems active so I figured one or two people on here will have some advice.

After a week or so of rebuilding, my shift knob is finally complete. I restitched and repainted the factory Pro knob to match the Off-Road color scheme + tie in my interior accent color (MGM). I'm calling the TRD 'Off-Road' knob. Came out perfect and really ties the room together. #thebiglebowski. I think I have 13 interior pieces painted with this MGM paint now.

    Oh look, another mod....
Great job. I made the dealership do that before I would drive it off the lot. I also made them remove their Dealership-Logo license plate frames. The sales guy asked me "Why would you want all that removed from your truck sir?"

"Because...I am not going to advertise for your dealership for free. So, remove it, or pay me $600 and I will sign a form to keep it on and help sell your product."

....30 minutes later, the truck had all dealership emblems removed from it.

Thanks homes. I thought about doing the buttons, but I really don't need any additional buttons at my thumbs and I have like 5 switch ports available to fill up on my left side panel for future needs. Mostly just wanted a really clean factory-looking setup.
