Ok, I want you to loosen the two bolts and slide that cable out of the terminal clamp. Leave the clamp on the battery… Just slide out the wires

On the positive side, I want you to take that one bolt out and clean both of those round ended wires (they are called lug terminals)

Turn your headlights and ignition on, wiggle those cables, and see if they flicker, I'd bet your problem is right there at the battery.

Yes, on the negative terminal too. Just pull out the wires after you loosen those two 7/16” bolts.

One thing you said made me go wait a second. Because you said jiggle those and see if the lights flicker, well I had noticed it just turning my lights on they were flickering. So when I put those clean terminals back on, I turned my headlights on no more flickering. So I thought oh I got to try this, and she started right up. Seriously buddy thank you.

Glad to hear it. When you get home, where those two lug terminals bolt onto the battery terminal end (on the positive side), I want you to scrape off that red paint where they sit. That may be part of your connection problem.

That paint is causing some of your problem. Scrape it off till you see the lead underneath..

Thank you. I was so worried about his. I literally just ordered OEM lower ball joints, an hour before this happened. Because the left one is squeaking and creaking. Also, I'm about to order a new A/F sensor, the upstream expensive one of course, because that just failed a few days ago. So if this was gonna cost me a bunch of money, I might have had to park it for a while. I literally call it the whack a mole truck, because every single time I fix something, something else rears it's ugly head within 3 days.

Also, I've owned this truck for 3 years, and it's due for emissions testing in one month, and this is the first time my check engine light has ever come on. I'm starting to think this truck might be cursed

If that ball joint is squeaking, I would be very careful. The lower ball joints are under tension, not compression. I have seen them separate and drive the wheel into the fender. Change them as soon as possible.

why are you ordering an A/F sensor if you have no check engine light?
