Battery light stays on but its charging

    EA1-11 yup, I’ve got battery voltage there.
    Doubled checked the white wire at the green four pin generator plug. No power, running or not.
    Is this the same wire as EA1-11, indicating a break?

    If it's the white wire at pin 1 of the alternator connector the yes that is the same wire at pin 11 of connector EA1

    Yes, that is what I was checking.

    Checked for continuity and I’ve got zilch. Time to go hunting for a broken wire

    Sounds like it, at least it shouldn't be terribly hard to find since it's a relatively short run of wire from the fuse box to the alternator.

    Just a quick follow up to conclude this thread - I repaired the damaged wire this morning and my light has gone out. Truck is back to its normal self. Thank you @Dm93 for helping me through this problem!

    Glad to have helped, I should have had you test the wiring before replacing the alternator though:anonymous:. I'll have to remember this one for the future.
