    Was the visit a sucess?

Good morning, all. I have to call Medicare this morning about a failure to pay for blood work during my annual wellness visit. I think it is time to find a new GP. I also want to get out to Costco to order glasses. I have a full day. Dinner tonight is pork steaks on the EX6. Harris Teeter had bone in pork butts on sale for $1,29 a pound.

    Good morning all :pccoffee:
Got the 3 new grinder pump tank float switches installed, had a plumber do most of it and I did the wiring, tested and level controller is working well. Found a burned resistor on the controller module that gives the high alarm so have to find out the cause of that, I don’t have a diagram for it at present. May install a separate alarm to wire the high level float switch to. Not urgent since the pump control starts and stops the pump properly, alarm is a separate circuit.

Got the tacoma and one of our cars inspected yesterday. Today may relax and just “review” my to do list lol.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Mowing was not near as bad after the rain as I expected, and the day just stayed pretty sunny and dry. This AM is the long awaited first visit to the Podiatrist!

We are in the middle of a heat wave here. Been over 100 last couple days and forecast to be 100+ all the coming week. Highest temp forecast to be 112. My to do list for the week consists of…….nothing, zero, nada, zilch. I’m just praying we do not have power outages and brown outs as are predicted (due to our rush to green energy the grid can’t handle the state’s electrical needs during these times). I have a couple portable generators so I can run fans and can keep the refrigerator and freezer going. When it’s 112 even the pool isn’t very refreshing. Oh well just another day in the life in Northern California. Stay cool all.

Owning a Lotus is a bucket list thing for me. Going racing is another. I need to get down to business with the PHA rule book but my goal is to drive the car to the hillclimb, race it, and drive home. Gotta drive something!!

Just a "cleaning" - she didn't find much. Then the dentist said "you'll need this done, and that done, etc..." yeah, with "insurance" that covers basically nothing!! :angrygirl:

    And??

When they first started pushing electric cars, wondered how that would work out, when there are times the grid can't keep up. Then what's going to happen when the power is off due to a storm....

    Evening all:

    Sue!
That's part of the dentist's job to find things that can make them money, especially if they have a big mortgage payment coming up! :D

There are a lot of ????? about EV's, IMO they are nowhere near prepared for all the energy that's going to be needed for their wish list, even now as you stated, the grid sometimes can't keep up with the power demand without millions of EV's needing to be charged on top of multiple other electronic tools and gadgets that run on rechargeable batteries. As the population grows there will be even more demand for electricity, looks like there is going to be a lot of windmills and solar panels needed, and I mean A LOT! :(
But what do I know, it's above my pay grade!!!!! :D
One thing I often wondered about, why don't they have generating capacity at every new dam built, seems like no one even mentions hydroelectric power anymore. :notsure:

 evening Carl, well I need the $$ for my own mortgage payment!!!

What's Commiefo.... uh, California going to do if everyone goes EV since they are trying to ban gas cars. How does more power plant emissions not equal auto emissions? I'm confused, but like you said, above my pay grade.

I live in California and you all don’t know the half of it as to what’s going on here. Here’s one thing that’s funny but not really. As you know they passed a law a couple days ago banning the sale of new gas cars effective 2035. They are trying to go 100% EV here. A couple days after the law passed , due to the strain on the power grid from the current heat wave, the government told people they are not to charge their EV’s during most of this period of high energy use. I believe there’s something in the water here that must make certain people here insane.

I remember hearing that now... so how do I get to work? or to the grocery store? or ???? LOL genius move going EV without the grid being capable of meeting the demand.

Don't forget Potassium on this list. I've been suffering for months with violent back spasms and cramps. Recently they moved into my abdominal area. On a whim Monday Night, I took an extra 99mg potassium pill and within 45 minutes all muscle spasms and cramps are gone. I've since started taking 2 of these potassium pills a day, and haven't had any cramping all week.

I like going to my Podiatrist, I feel like I can sprint a 1/4 mile when leaving the office. That will not happen.

Sounds like a decent visit. Dental Insurance never does cover the more expensive procedures properly but most cover every 6-month checkup. Keep on flossing and picking them teeth. Keep the gums in good shape.

Welcome to the thread. The only cabbage turning in here is on the griddle as we fry it up for dinner. ;)

Good morning, Mark. Try to behave yourself today as we start the long weekend.

Well yesterday did not turn out as planned. I had a great experience at Costco purchasing new reading glasses, not a bad price at all. I was told we would be going out to dinner at Stan and Joes in Galesville MD. Good food and live music are always welcomed. The pork steaks will wait for dinner on Sunday. Today is shrub trimming out front and a new restaurant in Annapolis for an early dinner.

Two Pics from Stan and Joes.
