I do very much enjoy my career. I despise the fact that humanity set themselves up to work more days of life than not is all.

 

but for a beautiful moment we created a lot of value for the stakeholders

 

Eventually. A few places that I've had on my list are on hiring freezes now, so... I may take a few months off and refresh some knowledge.

Yep. They are super happy I left unvested stock in their accounts.

I'm working this weekend. Replacing 32 locksets and rekeying 35 more for a school.
Should be a full Saturday, partial Sunday.
But I'm off today, and have been pretty much all week.

Gotta love the vesting schedules. Hopefully the next gig pays more than enough to make up the difference

 

It's easier when you're confident the shares will never be worth anything.

I didn't even look at how many options I was eligible to buy when leaving that job.

 

LOL, Yea for a lot of companies it's fair to treat them as nothing. When I left a previous job with pay as one of the reasons the HR rep was like "you could be leaving a lot of money on the table, we think shares will go to mid hundreds soon, blah blah blah". They certainly did not lol.

 

My favorite is when they try to counter your resignation with that pay bump you've been asking for the last 2yrs.

Oh yeah. Our power was out last night from about 830pm to 230am. It looks like they're replacing a pole across the way.

 

Swapped out 43 locks at the school today. Another 25 tomorrow to complete the job.

 

I have frozen coconut breaded shrimps in a box. Way too hot to oven that stuff, but I'm gonna try them on the grill on a pan.
Prolly corn on the cob too, for some reason that seems to pair up well with shrimps.
