Just a thought, post up in the Buy/Sell/Trade..there's a thread looking for free stuff and someone may have one. I'd also in the 1st gen BST area post a WTB for it. Can't hurt to try..wish I had one to send.

 

You can also use fishing wire to take the old emblem off and reattach with some 3M

 

The shop tried to carefully remove them with some very narrow floss but they started cracking. Since they are painting the entire cab there's no way either I or the insurance company were going to pay $1000 for 2 emblems so I went with plan B - I ordered 2 1st Gen PreRunner SR5 tailgate emblems. The SR5 characters are a little smaller than the side pillar emblems but at least the overall shape & font will match. Those are still available on eBay for a "reasonable" price...
