How hard is it to cut logs sideways with a chainsaw? I've often wondered that, I know a sharp chain is key but is it still tough going sideways?

It's actually pretty easy with the milling attachment... The key is getting the first cut right then the mill just follows that for the rest of the cuts. I still have some learning to do and waiting for the wood to dry is going to feel like forever! I have a big saw too so the extra power helps.

Just a scrap piece before moving on to the real project.. not ready to reveal that yet. Figured it would be ok over here rather than clogging up your thread haha

So I needed a place to kinda sorta document a journey and here goes..

As of today I am 239 days sober. I gave up drinking and collecting whiskey bottles and traded that for collecting Hot Wheels and Matchbox and other die cast cars on the 1/64 scale.

I've been toying with an idea of making a spare bedroom into a giant display case. Previously, I removed all the full whiskey bottles on the custom shelves I made and filled them up with diecast cars.

Today, I took another step and cleared out all the empty bottles and took them to the recycling bin.
