I need an ignition cylinder and key for a 98’ Tacoma v6, 4wd, sr5 WITH TILT STEERING.

Can anyone help with a part number or an Amazon link?

All of the parts I can find in Amazon for trucks specific that they are for the trucks WITHOUT the tilt steering.

I have called NAPA, Auto Zone, Auto Advance and they all say that they can only get the cylinder for trucks without tilt steering.

What is the difference in lock cylinders between the 2 versions

What is wrong with your lock cylinder?

Unless it is completely destroyed it can be rebuilt .

keys can be made just pull out the left door cylinder..

When i put the key in, I can’t turn the cylinder to start the car. I have tried getting a new key made which didn’t work. I honestly don’t know what the difference is. I just know that my truck has tilt steering and all of the auto parts places told me that the cylinders they have are not compatible with tilt steering. Also the Amazon one from Dorman specifically states it will not work on tilt steering wheels.
