    Hi everyone,

I purchased a 2022 Tacoma Trdoffroad and without a week even passing when I went on a trail I noticed the my front passenger side axle was leaking gear oil. Has this happened to you? The vehicle is brand new that is why I am shocked that it’s having issues. I’ve already contacted Toyota and they stated they will repair the issue but I am wondering how common is this for the future or do you guys think thinks May have caused some type of long term damage.

Wife’s 4Runner CV boot was unclamped… I noticed the grease slung all over the place when I crawled under for the first week ‘just in case’ inspection…

Mine leaked - was the inner axel seal and I was out of warranty - a cheap less than $5 part - the dealer only wanted $450 to replace it. I found a local Toyota Shop and had it replaced for $100. Get it done under warranty and be happy you don't have to foot the Stealer's overly inflated screw job price for the work.

Is it leaking gear oil out of the diff, or leaking grease out of the CV boot?
