I see many door sill protectors on the market. My concern is protection the carpet between the sill and the seat. Does anyone know if there is a product made to cover this area? I live in New York and the road salt takes a toll on the carpeting next to the door sill

Are you talking about that gap between the seat/door trim (like where the seat adjustment stuff would be)? All weather mats cover the carpet at least where your feet step in (I got Husky brand), it covers flush to the door trim, thats all you can really do besides occasional vacuuming of the seat gap, you shouldn't get a whole lot of road salt next to the seat imo...

I love em. I got the weatherbeater line and they have been great. I didn't get factory OEM ones, just bought these first thing instead, so I can't compare. They use the built in OEM clips on the drivers/passenger side so they lock in place (same as OEM). I was able to buy the front/rear separately on sale from Amazon. Only paid $113 total (which is hard to beat). Durable plastic, perfect fit, easy to pull out and power wash when needed... which I need to do as you saw in the pic above lol.

I have the x-act contour front and back and like them a lot. Great fit! Also, not clear or intuitive to me at least, and then you figure it out and make total sense. Husky has 2 models for each. MT and AT. Manual and automatic

What is the difference between the WeatherBeater Floor Liners and X-act Contour Floor Liners?

Our X-act Contour Floor Liners and WeatherBeater Floor Liners are both custom molded to fit your vehicle exactly. The amount of floor coverage provided by the liner styles is very similar as well. The biggest difference is the material. The X-act Contour liners have a softer, more rubbery feel, whereas the WeatherBeaters are pliable, but not as rubbery. Both products offer superior protection.

Thank you for that clarification, and your experience with them. I don't know why I didn't order the ones for the rear, but I'm not really interested in the ones that are connected together in the rear, and go over the transmission.

Most all are going to be connected in the rear. Its carpet covering that tranny hump so you're probably going to want to cover it, unless you never have people sit back there

So I ended up getting the Husky Liners. I first started with the fronts (fitment is extremely good IMHO) and purchased the rear later (haven't gotten them yet) because I thought for sure, floor mats came with the truck. Ahh err, no not necessarily. If you get the Husky brand, you'll find it partially protects the area between the sill and the floor mat, but not all of it. Let me know if you want a pic.
