I have an '04 (145k miles) that has been an incredible truck but for the last year or so I've been having a devil of a time with the (power) drivers side window. For about a year it would only intermittently go up once rolled down. It woudn't happen every time but at least once a week nothing would happen when you would hit the up toggle. I would disconnect the wiring harness in the door which would almost always fix it.

I got tired of this always happening so I decided to swap out the window motor as I thought this may have been the problem. Worked for a few weeks but then the same thing started to happen.

I then swapped out the entire drivers side power window, lock and mirror mechanism as I noticed that the drivers window plastic toggle had broken.

This again worked for a bit however now the window is totally non-functional. The passenger window works fine but the drivers window will no longer go up or down.

As I've changed out the low hanging fruit and i'm at a bit of a loss as to where to go from here. My only guess is that the broken plastic piece may have fried the new motor but before buying an entire new motor wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar issue. The power mirror adjust has never worked in the car but otherwise there are no other electrical abnormalities that I can see that would point to something like a fuse.

    Thanks!

    Matt

Put a test light across the Blue and Blue/Yellow wires at the switch and see if it lights up when you press the switch, if it does you have a broken wire or bad motor, if it doesn't your switch is bad.

Armo_AK, did you ever figure out your issue? My 2001 is doing the same thing.

I just sold the truck. Right before I sold it it weirdly just started working again. I talked to a number of shops and they thought it was a primary electrical issue. I had an appointment for a electrical specific auto shop in town to take a look at it but I must have shaken something just right as it fixed itself after over a year of not working.
