You ever get any banana? Mine has never produced a single fruit. I think we've had it 25 years.

 

Don't you have to have a male and female banana plant? So it pollinates and produces fruit?

 

It's been so long since we bought it thru a seedling catalog. I would think we would have checked that.

 

I just did a quick read on them, some do need another tree and some don't. It also said they need warm temps and the right soil to produce and to be pruned back every year. It's easier to just buy them in the grocery store*.


*I added that last part.

 

This first plant we've gotten. I dont know much about them other than they are hard to kill

 

I actually did something constructive. My compressor is a bit noisy so I wanted to move it into the little closet thing that was already built in my garage. Had to cut in an electrical box for an outlet and fish wire in there. Today I gotta run an old hose along the ceiling to my hose reel by the garage door. Hopefully it'll quiet things down a little bit. Noises like that just seem to annoy me anymore...

 

Grease expires? Sheeeeeeeeee-it. Down at the fairgrounds, we're using military surplus grease with a date of 1966 on the can.

 

I venture a failure with an expired use by date would get real ugly in that plant.

 

You just know smarter minds prevailed when they didn’t dare to try ‘em up here.

 

That crap is probably fortified with asbestos!

 

Y'all got any more of that "rain" layin around? Sure could use some.
