That’s what I thought, too. I’m so used to them on my other cars that I only noticed it when it was gone. I tried turning it back on, but it may be burned out. Thanks!

Nav became an option when carplay became the norm. To be honest I'd rather have carplay over a 5 year old nav map with a nonsensical POI database. I'm just not willing to pay the sticker price for the vehicle that comes wrapped around said carplay.

My truck has Nav, and requires pay to update! My Garmin GPS was much cheaper and has lifetime free updates and I can install offroad map datapacks aswell... I still like my truck though...

Glad I'm not the only one who misses the compass. I was in a rental last December for a couple of weeks and the rental shop was in the middle of detours and construction that when I got on the road I thought for sure I was going North. Passed by a couple of exit ramps and was confused because these exits were South and I was driving in the opposite direction, or so I thought. Was a real mind f...flip, mind flip for me. Never done that before, I wanted to blame it on old age.

Truck nav is ok for some things. I'm old school in that I still look up the route beforehand (now I use an app instead of the big behind-the-seat Atlas). If I can't memorize my route within 30 seconds I'll key the address into the nav as my reminder. And it's great for that.

Where it fails is when you need it to find a restaurant or business along your route. Especially if you try using that push-to-talk button. That button probably earned a Faustian demon his promotion for inventing a new level of torment.

I have an OEM rear view mirror for sale, autodim + compass that I removed after about 2 months on my 21. Should be pnp for you if you want a compass. It's perfect, I just replaced it with the homelink model.

It's just not worth having unless it's got both a compass and a thing that tells time.

Me too. The only way my truck came if I wanted a DC with a manual.

But I still don’t understand how an SR has one and a TRD OR doesn’t. I thought it’s standard on all TRDs?

Not sure what you mean... Toyota doesn't do anything strange... like ACLB MT Off-Road only available in Canada. Or the DCSB Off-Road MT only available in the US. Nope... they never do funny things...
