    you could try stuffing some bread in there. old farmer's trick to pull bearings without a puller.

    That doesnt work on the needle bearings, you just end up packing your diff with 7 loafs of bread.

    Yeah, I got it along with all the little chunks of needle bearing out. I had a rag stuffed in there so nothing could get in.

    Oh there will be some mods all right
    Same thing happened to me and my dad. We checked positioning, rechecked, and then checked again before attempting removal. I was in full panic mode and my dad calmly repurposed an old wrench to replace the broken piece. The bearing was seriously in there because even the improvised wrench part bent during removal.
