Wanting to swap out factory rear bumper looking for ideas that are not wallet emptying. I'm in the process of blacking it out so need a black one. IMG_6177.jpg

Depending on your budget but bottom of the barrel would be brands like Hooke Road that tends to copycat upper tier companies. Body Armor is a step above as far as strength but design not really pleasing to the eye. Then there's all other higher end more expensive manufacturers on this thread.

Hoping I can stay around $300.00 and still get a decent looking one. My 08 is just a boat tower, mainly just looking to get it blacked out and not any off road style or heavy duty type needed.

If you just want to make it black how about some black paint or Plasti Dip and call it a day?

    Cheers

Agree with paint it nothing at $300 that is any good only thin Chinese ones that will rust.
If towing a boat a good time to drill a hole in the bumper and move the plug-in up when you paint it.

I did 3 cans of Plasti dip on my chrome rear bumper when I had it. Then I was rear ended, and paid the difference to get mine color matched. That was 8-10 years ago, and in Canadian monies.

Going for the plasti dip idea, never done any plasti dip but definetly the most economical solution to make it black. Thanks for the input to all that responded.
