My 2011 Tacoma V6 started acting strange when I put it in gear. Put it in drive and reverse is also lighted on the dash. I used a scanner and supposedly the gear position sensor was the problem. I installed a new one and it worked for a short time then I was back to the same problem. I double checked to make sure the sensor was aligned properly. I can drive the truck without any noises or hitches. Another thing that is strange though when I am driving, is when I put on brakes the backup camera comes on and the left turn signal blinks rapidly. The right turn signal works fine. When I let off the brake and move forward the backup camera goes off and the left turn signal works normally. I have had the anti-lock brake light come on and the engine warning light come on. I wonder if I have a ground problem that is causing this. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a possible bad ground or corrosion in a connector causing a backfeed on the reverse circuit.
I'll look up and post the relevant wiring diagrams when I have time.

Here you go, I would start with checking the ground to both rear lights (ground point BD).
