    All:
Switching to 255/75R17 tires on my 2017 TRD OR DCSB (from 265/70R17 tires).

The current 4 wheels are 17" TRDs off of a 4Runner. Current spare is the original 16" steel but I have 5 tires on order and want to set up a matching spare, so I need a 17" wheel.

    Two questions:

    1. I have a line on a 2nd Gen Tacoma TRD Sport 17" steel.spare Will this clear the brake calipers on my truck? Reading through posts I see this mentioned as an issue.

    2. Anyone just buy another TRD wheel.and use that as a spare?

    Any recommendations appreciated.

    Thanks for the help.with this!

Brand new FJ 17" spare from Toyota was $100 CAN for me, I bet that's $2.50 US for you...(FJ rim has more positive off-set)

On a side note, I run 16" 2005 Tundra wheels on my truck for winter, with no caliper clearance issues. I have my doubts that there would be issues running the 17" 2nd gen spare, since the suspension is essentially a carry over to the 3rd gen.

    Nice looking truck there!

Thanks all, I went with the eBay seller. Can't beat the price. If it helps, I asked seller and they said they don't repaint the wheels, it's original paint.

Now, it's time to relocate the hoist and hammer the dogs in prep for the 285/70/R17 spare. :D
