    We made this last week and since the counterbores are on the inside it had to be 2 pieces. It’s that same material we had trouble with cracking after welding so we sent it to another shop. They tig welded it with a special filler after preheating it and wrapped it in an insulated blanket and let it cool for a couple days.

    For gosh sakes be careful!
    My wife decided to hang up her hammock Sunday then proceeded to fall out of it and land on her shoulder. Went to Dr yesterday and got x-ray. Nothing broke or fractured but she's hurting still this morning.
    Getting old isn't very fun:rofl:
    Better than alternative though.

    Yeah, some one on here mentioned checking your spare , so I did. Sure enough it was flat. Took it too the service station and they got it right. Getting it down and back up was all I could handle. Made sure to turn the valve stem towards the ground so it will be easier to check. I figured I've lost half my strength since I had cancer.

    Replaced the drums, shoes and springs on the truck yesterday. If I never have to wrestle a drum spring again I'd die a happy man.

    They make a special tool for that. Having said that, I purchased that tool awhile back and have not touched a drum brake since getting it so I have no idea if it works or not.
