Anyone have issues with the remote reservoir not fitting well in the bracket?

2nd gen here, but I installed my kings yesterday and can only get one clamp on the driver side reservoir. Reservoir is contacting the top of the wheel wheel and won’t lay flush in the mount. I have it slid down as far as the bracket will allow (reservoir is touching the bent edge of the bracket bends on the bottom).

Passenger side is tight, but was able to get both clamps on. It’s not touching on the bent edge of the bracket, but it is making contact with the wheel well up top.

Wondering if my front body mount bushings are just really worn out, especially on the driver side?

I had a similar issue when I installed mine a few years ago. Looks like your bracket is different from what I have though.

I had to grind a fair bit off that top edge of the bracket then slide the resi way down to give a little wiggle room. Looks like you might have to grind the support rib though, not the top.

Appreciate it. That’s exactly what I was thinking on how to remedy it. Just a pain, especially considering the price of these coilovers!

Pretty sure the issue is caused by those front radiator body mount bushings being worn out. The gap between body/frame is quite a bit bigger on the passenger side. Guess I see a set of Energy poly bushings in my future… Always something right?

I had the same issue, needed to do a little grinding to both brackets to allow the reservoirs to slide further down. Didn't have anything to do with the body mount bushings, mine are in good shape.

What’d you guys use to grind it down? I have a dremel tool… Not sure it’s going to be up to the task though. Time to invest in another tool!

I went ahead and ordered a set of the energy radiator body bushings. At $33, figured it’s cheap maintenance. I read that the stock mounts should be just under an inch. My passenger side is around 1/2” and driver side is over 1/4”.

I cut about 1/2 inch off the bracket near the red King adjuster. Let me slide the reservoir down. Used a Dremel reinforced cut off wheel. Buy a multi pack.

Yup a pack of Dremel cutoff wheels should do it as stated above.
