Bumper / Suspension Question.

Good afternoon Guys!


I want to order the new C4 Overland Front Bumper.

I’m currently running King Shocks 2.5 OEM Performance Series Remote Reservoir Coilover Front Shock Absorbers – PN:25001-119.

I believe I have 600 lbs springs. I have around 2.5 in lift in the front, it drives like a dream.

My question is, if I add this bumper with a mid bar without adding a winch, it should be around 125 LBS.

Do I need to upgrade my springs? and How would my ride be affected?

The weight of the bumper is def going to bring down your front end. Youll need to add preload to the collar. as long as you don't add too much to where the coil starts to bind the ride should stay relatively similar. I changed my springs to 650 because i had too much preload and wasn't getting the ride i wanted. After i changed springs it was at the height i wanted and road like a dream.
