I think it's neat when they have human names. I dated someone who's cat was named 'Kevin'. My little buddies name was 'Clarence'.
Being that we were both Jarheads- "DOC" would have a significance.

Evening folks. Bad news today. Hit a pot hole at 65 and truck went into severe death wobble. (known problem with F250's) Got it off the road. Drove another 20 miles and stopped for donuts. (don't tell the doctor) Anyhow, truck is dead. No power to the fuse box or dash. All my gear was at the trailer. Bad move on my part.
Tow was great with AAA, so I'm in diag mode tomorrow.
    Yuk.
    Be safe out there folks.

No thank goodness. That was pretty scary. Especially at 65-70. I think that shook some wires loose or it's a dead short.

that's the thing that scares me the most about the camper...wtf do i do if something goes wrong while i'm driving?!?! even a flat tire becomes 100x's more complicated with all that extra weight..

hope you found a decent mechanic shop to take care of it and they get you back on the road soon!

A little of this and a little of that.
Dammit Zim, glad you are OK. Oh yeah, Superduty Death Wobble is a real thing. Hopefully you get some good techs on the job.

Oh man that’s awful hopefully it’s something simple and like you said just shook something loose. And I’ve watched several videos on the death wobble and it seems as though everyone has a different fix dampeners to caster change. My old 74 bronco would do that if you didn’t blast through 45 if you got caught behind someone doing 40/45 and it started you had to pull over and stop. It would not stop no matter what you did ounce it started but I knew the cause on that one bias ply 14/36 Grand Prix’s they beat the front end to death.

We did our giveaway and things went well had to step in one time and stop a fuss before it got out of hand. We could have used a little more help. We had a crowd to show up and it didn’t take long even though we loaded up two trailers. F6D82CCC-BF77-40CA-BC78-40F06F12B52B.jpg

Finally decided to go with a US Marine themed name .....His name is Gunny !!

as I expected Rascal would growl at hiss at her new Brother . It's going to take a week or two until I can have her play with him
Right now the kitten is in a spare bedroom with the doorway blocked by a baby gate so right now Rascal is laying down next to the gate and the kitten laying on the floor near the gate inside the bedroom

That sucks Dave , hope it's a simple repair and you can get back traveling the US

It took awhile but I think Gunny"s power level has dropped finally and hopefully sleeping thru the night

That shop will be me LOL. I think the wobble shook some battery cable loose to either the starter/alternator/power distribution box. Wobble is just the design. Only 70k so the front end is tight but I'll check it.

I'll shake down the front end tomorrow. Drag link, tie rods and ball joints. It was a 12" dia pot hole that was 452' deep. LOL

I got is slowed down pretty fast and off the road. It was busy but everyone around me seemed to know what was happening. It was actually a nice event for a crappy day. LMAO.
