little dashes of yellow paint???

    i just got a 2020 sr5 and i noticed little dashes of yellow paint on the passengers side headlight and tail light one dash on each any ideas??? Its praying on my mind. jr

    It is likely highway paint. But as stated above no pictures then just guesses

    Probably some markers used in checking alignment. Should have been cleaned off after quality control.

    When rotating tires I noticed a dab of different colored paint on the end of the wheel studs. different colored on each stud (pink, orange, yellow, etc) figured it had something to do with manufacturing.

    Since its a 2020 truck, and its 2022 im guessing its not brand new. So any factory markings should of worn off by now.

    But to the actual question, something that used to happen around here is that the police would mark your car with little paint pens. Not sure their reason for it, but I had older cars that would get it every once in awhile.

    i found small dashes of green on my tail lights. thought it was when i had body work done, but who can really say? like tiny specks the size of a long nail clipping

    I remember back in the days, before the modern lawlessness has set in, when the meter-maids would drive by with a stick with a piece of chalk or wax marker on the end, and put slashes on parked car's tires. I think a certain color slash was a certain timeframe, so they could come back at X time, and commence to write copious amounts of parking tickets along the block.

    ahh the good ol days
