Tire size

Hey guys new to Tacoma world. I have question. What’s the largest tire size that can be put in a 2019 with a 2” level kit without having to any fender mods.

 

Fender mods are only required with 35's and larger. However, if you're trying to avoid any trimming of the cab mount, fender flares and fender liners... 265/70/17 or 265/75/16 are your safe bets. People run skinny 33's (255/70/17 or 255/75/16) as well.

Also keep in mind that wheel offsets play a large role and a lift does not necessarily help fit larger tires.

32in tire. 265/75R16 or 256/70R17.

Or a 33in pizza cutters. 255/85R16.

 

This...

 

31” 265/70/17 or 265/75/16
32” 275/70/17
33” 255/80/17 or 255/85/16

 

Or…a true 32” 255/75R17

My thought exactly, however it's still early.

 

That’s actually smaller than 265/75/16

 

I grabbed this from 4Runner forum, this is SUPER helpful and most people's question can be answered.
But sadly it's only for stock wheel fitment, I used that above chart and bought the stock size tires but with -10mm offset, and they rub big time consider OEM offsets are +25mm something like that.

It would be super nice if we had a Tacoma version of this, or even better, adding offset, as another parameter

 

not true. I have both

255/75/17 is skinnier by 0.5” but it’s taller by 0.5 from 265/75/16. So smaller is really dependent on which part you are thinking about. 265/75/16 actually equates to 31.6” if that really matters…it’s trivial

the first number is the width, second number is the sidewall with, 3rd number is the wheel diameter

 

But, you said “255/75R16”

 

.4” narrower and .5” smaller

My best mods have been the 2" Bilstein 5100 lift and 265/75/16 (C load) Duratracs. Best off road tire ever, for my needs.

No rubbing, cutting, hacking, etc..., and more importantly, no premature front end wear. Rides like a Tacoma should.

Good year makes C load duratracs in 265/75/16? I thought it’s only E
