I recently purchased a used decked system for my 5'1" bed with plans to carry scoped Ar rifles in them, but now am questioning if factory offered piecekeepers for rifle storage are going to work. Anyone have any input or have you made some sort of rack hauling a pair of scoped Ar rifles? Preferably two rifles in one drawer is the goal.

I just chucked mine in there in soft cases when I had a decked. What is that bolt version chambered for?

That might be the best solution for me as well. I decided I wanted to try this system out because of the security and the elevated platform to possibly try coyote calling from the bed.....I've heard that works.

The rifles are both chambered in 6mm ARC. The bolt action upper is from Uintah precision. I picked it up used and have already seen promising groups with both the Hornady precision hunter and match boxes. That's a five round group with two in the same hole from the precision hunter box at 100 yards.

Loose blanket or soft case should work well

I'd need a heavy blanket for some of our county roads around here.
