    Hey, I just purchased new Tacoma last week, joined here and stumbled upon this thread.

    Anything else I should do to prep the undercarriage besides removing spare wheel and washing off the dirt?

    Nope. It's what Toyota officially calls the skid plate so that people don't use it for actual skid plate uses. Same way the snorkel is called a "desert air intake".

    You don't need to take off anything plastic up front. Just the gas tank skid. The front should be metal, couple bolts and I think they just hang it off of a few metal hooks at the front.

    I forgot to ask but my catalytic converter shield from Talons Garage just arrived. I'm not going to put it on until after truck gets sprayed, but I'm wondering if I should bring the shield to get it sprayed as well? It's made out of 1/4” aluminum - bare metal. Maybe I should paint it instead with heatproof paint?
