Anyone have a picture inside this covered battery wire section?

I tried to get the cover open but couldn't figure out the locking snaps and didn't want to break it or snap a snap off, so wondering how it opens and what is actually in there.

It is where the positive battery cable comes from. I was looking at replacing my battery terminal to give me more space to attach accessory wires, but when I saw how the battery cable wire is just clamped to the terminal, I then thought it would be easier to just replace that whole foot-long cable, thus the long road to this question.

    Picture worth 896 more words:

The positive battery cable does not terminate in that cable organizer. It goes to the starter motor.

Thank you. Glad I didn't bother messing with it. I think I might just get a longer terminal accessory bolt and not worry about replacing the cable or terminal clamp at all.

Nothing in there to get happy about. Just a boot/harness cover.

Jeez, what a silly thing to cover those wires. Guess it's for heat protection? At any rate thanks for the pic! I decided to move some of the things I had attached to the post and that gave me enough room to put the winch power lead there (2 AWG wire is BIG.)
