Recently purchased a 1996 tacoma LX extended cab V6 4x4 6 lug truck
    Everything OE

Anyway I happen to have a set of new YOKO 275 65 18 tires and I would like to lift the truck enough to put them on ...

Guessing I need upper control arms

Any suggestions to get the right parts ...have read numerous threads but it's a little confusing...

    Thanks

    Welcome to tw.
Why would you need new upper control arms? Unless you are lifting beyond 3 inches, they aren't required.. since this is 1st gen.... when were the upper snd lower ball joints replaced?
Those wheels and tires should fit a first gen without any modifications. Typically a 1st gen can run a 33 wheel diameter stock and not rub.
