    Mine has gone up past 380 miles before- it was fairly accurate - but then I also have a 15 gallon reserve tank on my truck also.

    nothing really. it's like the 'close door' button on elevators. it really just makes people feel better.

    the waiting for 10 seconds for the capacitors in various computers to discharge is really what's important. i generally recommend disconnecting the battery, and grab a beer for 5-15 minutes, then reconnecting the battery.

    drinking beer is way better than holding a button for any amount of time!
