K&N intake tube, K&N drop in filter, oil catch can, OTT tune. 285/70/17 tires.
I have a 2018 TRD PRO in Calvary blue, that I bought used several months ago. I wasn’t sure if my truck had a previous tune but I knew it had undesirable attributes i.e. very sensitive pedal, higher than normal rpm at idle, with jerky lurches when trying to ease forward, and gear hunting at highway speeds. I made an appointment Sat to get a OTT tune in Hoover, AL with John. He was very knowledgeable and you can tell right away he’s a Toyota Tacoma enthusiast at heart. John confirmed that my truck was previously tuned but we don’t know which one it was. After uploading the OTT and test driving I settled on the medium/spicy configuration. The tune smoothed the truck out completely, power is smooth and noticeable, and the pedal feel is much better. On the 3 hour drive to Hoover the truck felt like it was stumbling at the 66-68 mph range and doing the classic up shift and downshift that most people complain about. Mpg wasn’t too bad netting 19.1 and I’m on 285/70/17’s. On the trip back after fueling up I was getting 20.4 at the same speed. The truck felt more comfortable above 70 mph and wasn’t searching for gears. If you are on the fence about getting OTT I’d highly recommend doing so. Special thanks to John in Hoover, AL with Overland Tailor Tuning for all your dedication to the Tacoma world.

@Jason18TRDPRO - its a shame you inherited a poor tune from someone else at the start, that really should have been addressed by the owner and whoever they worked with. I find it really odd someone would produce a high-idle tune, but perhaps it was a DIY. Certainly sounds a bit off the mark all around for what I think you have as reasonable expectations! Good to hear you found a tune that fits your needs....these trucks sure do better PROPERLY tuned!

    Enjoy the miles!
