That's kinda my plan too, only I ditched my gmc for my Tacoma. Last 3 trucks I had where gmc's, I'll never go back to one of those, love my taco way more! My plan is to have it paid off before I retire.

    Evening all:

Just read something that makes no sense, it said that the USDA has banned the transportation of waterfowl that were hunted in Canada into the US because of bird flu, if I remember right those waterfowl also migrate and fly South into the US. If that is true, someone isn't thinking too much!

:woot: The ebay crossbow came today, I went over it with a fine-tooth comb and all is good. It looks like it was barely used and I am completely satisfied with it. :)

Good plan. Especially with an almost new Tacoma! I know what you mean about the Taco, it just feels right. I don't want to be driving a full size truck all the time. I heard Chevys/GMCs about 5 years newer than mine started using AFM, Active Fuel Management or something like that. It would deactivate cylinders in certain driving conditions to save fuel. Big time trouble with it from what I've seen, at least with early versions of it. Many posts on the forums about eliminating/disabling it. Thankfully Toyota didn't do something like that.

Mine being 15 years old I have no payments, but I'll just have to hope for no major situations which seem to be the case with many others, usually just components that can be expected to wear out. I did just have the air conditioning repaired which seems kind of common, but you don't typically see major engine/transmission failures. It seems clutches in these trucks last for an impressive amount of time.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Technically, they're un-elected bureaucrats that are nearly impossible to replace once they're in, which is even worse.

Good morning fellow Porchatonians!! Celebrating 21 years of life after somehow walking out of the inferno of the impact area in the Pentagon on 9/11/01. Life is good. Live every days as if it may be your last.

And a year ago, I was guest speaker at a memorial ceremony while simultaneously passing a kidney stone.

    Afternoon all:
Hard to believe 911 happened 21 years ago, seems like just yesterday.

Can't believe the little things that I did to my crossbow that I am now doing to the one I just got, nothing major, but takes time. When I get them all done it will be set up exactly the same except for the scope.

I think we can resolve this problem. First we need to pass waterfowl bird flu legislation that ramps up the research for a bird flu vaccine. Then we have to educate the waterfowl so only vaccinated waterfowl are allowed to migrate across the Canadian border. $50 billion or so should do it. (This is just an attempt at humor, nothing political)

The hole is most of a foot deep. The hole in front of the tank is about half that; Wife can't even find the foxtail fern that was there. My grackle spring on the feeder is destroyed.

Oh and :pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/endless Friday dwellers. I have to tell you about my granddaughter. Her name is Elizabeth, nicknames Liz and Lizzie. A few days ago she landed in London England for her first semester of college. (Which is pretty darn cool all by itself!) The school put her up at Princess Elizabeth House. She got there in time for the new Prime Minister, Liz Truss, to take office. The next day, Queen Elizabeth passed away. Lizzie's calling it her "What are the odds" tour. :)

The final capper is this: the royal funeral takes place September 19, which is Lizzie's parents' wedding anniversary!
