    So,

"One of the largest study of high consumption of coffee, show a increase of DEMENTIA."

Is there or is there not such a real, peer reviewed, study?

I found the guy fascinating, that's for sure.

I drink a half caf blend. Maybe bad, but one cup a day? Unlikely.

It's right in the title of this thread....everyone in this forum is into coffee.
First question, how did you even end up in here if you dont drink coffee?
Second question, did you post just to stir up the bee hive?
Last, what kind of life do we live if we deprive ourselves of the things we love? Especially when it is something that is not hurting anyone around us like excessive drugs or alcohol. I guarantee we will all die one day. Life is for the living and there is much to experience. I promise you that sugar free sodas, dairy, meat, and processed foods are far more harmful than coffee. But hey, thanks for telling us about someone else's perspective.

Thank you and sorry if you feel a bit offended. I lived and work on my wife’s family COFFEE farm. The picking season has started for us. ( the coffee leaf disease & Borer beetle has destroy most of the coffee beans ) this year.
Season is July- Jan for most. Higher elevations starts later-end later.

I have been drinking 100% pure home grown Kona coffee for over 35+ years. We make it every morning 24/7.
We do most of the process / roasting, bagging and selling of our coffee. My brother-in-law is also professional coffee consultant.
    ——
No I do not want to stir up anything.
I just so happen to watch a video (TEDx-orangecoast Daniel Amen) Change the brain change your life. He talks about the brain and he helps with brain recovery. 19 minutes long ,you may find it interesting.
Watching many other videos n this topic , change my “bad habits) of eating and drinking.

Did you know dementia & Alzheimer’s can be prevent and reduced? Watch the video!

Not offended by any means. With all of the abuse I've put on my body over the years, if it is coffee that takes me in the end I'd be ok with that. My point just being you can prolong your life, but reduce your quality of life by eliminating eveything bad for you. Overall smart choices, living a healthy active lifestyle and keeping your brain active are important factors in remaining healthy and mentally sharp.

They say coffee is actually good for you. For the brain caffeine might not be very good.
I was drinking almost 4 + cups a day. And I enjoy drinking it.

I loss 8.8 lbs since Aug 4, 2022 , I feel so much better, being sleeping better , had to cut my belt down (Mission belts -adjustable clickers).

Our brain is very powerful . I found what you feed the brain , effects everything in your life. I can feel the change. Feeling a lot more happier, healthier. More positive, and I just started this change a few weeks ago.

it is like having the right gas in the Tacoma ,adding the right tires, the performance in proves

But I still gotta help pick the coffee, one bean-at-time. All coffee beans all hand-pick. The next time you see whole coffee beans ,remember each one is hand-pick.

I was glad to see this one listed in this thread. I started out using instant until I found this. Makes great coffee. I even went to the Secura French press listed earlier for use at home.

    GEEEZER WARNING!!!!

Just an FYI. If for (serious) medical reasons you need off caffeine (yeah I know, but there it is) and don't want splitting headaches and the dope effect. But still want the coffee ritual.

Day 1-Day 7 75% your reg coffee beans - 25% Good (Swiss water process) decaf beans
    2 weeks 50%-50% decaf
    1 week 25%- 75% decaf

You should be used to light enough caffeine at this point that you can now go full decaf and only be a bit dopey for a day or two with no headaches.

All of these options sound like a lot of work. I don’t go off grid too often, but I would probably just plug a Keurig into my bed outlet.

I don't think that 400W outlet is going to put out enough power to run a keurig since it's going to need 1,500W or so for the initial cycle.

I agree. Even the mini’s use 1400+ to heat the water.

Ive quit a couple of times cold turkey. the first couple of days im a cranky SOB. but man after those few days, I sleep better, wake up easier, sleep better, stop repeating myself, and just don't get tired during the day. I wish I could stay off of it. I usually only last a few weeks then i just have a cup because I miss the taste, then whoops need to make another pot so the wife can have some.

There are some really good decaf whole beans out there these days. Look locally first. Then maybe online.

Talking Crow here for me. Trader Joe's. Even Starbucks whole bean decaf. I've also bought whole bean decaf from Amazon.
