I didn't take any pics of the install but swapped out the factory garbage for some Infinity Reference component speakers today. The improvement in sound quality is phenomenal.

Finished up my rear drum brakes and wheel cylinders. I really hate them to much I really hope I never have to take them apart again! I was able to bleed my brakes myself takes to my breaker bar to hold the pedal down and they feel better with just my trip around the block. Only thing now is my parking brake is worse then ever! Anyone got advice? Maybe I need to adjust them in a little more? They were rubbing like they should with the wheels off and a couple lugs on but maybe need a little more after I put the wheels on and drove? I didn't see an adjuster under the truck at all. I did the old roll back and brake a half dozen times but that didn't help either.

Have you checked the trans mount? I just replaced mine on my 98. It had a shake to it. When I checked the old mount, it was in bad shape. Once I took it off, I really noticed how bad it was. Just a thought.

After 3 years of ownership I finally got a spare tire. Bought 5 last week but didn't have my new wheel yet so only 4 got mounted. Today the new boy showed up. :bananadance: Opened the box and thought "oh shit, I got the wrong color!":annoyed:Maybe the old ones are just dirty or oxidized, they look closer in color in the pic than my first impression. I'll clean the old ones and hopefully they'll look more alike. Or as my wife says "it's just a spare, don't worry about it". I was like "I'll just get 4 new ones to match the spare!". The bronze of the new one is really nice.

Check both side springs on the e-brake on the inner side of the brake backing plate. Make sure you didn't disconnect them. If springs are there then I would pull a drum, have someone pull the e-brake, and make sure the mechanism inside the drum is moving. If it is moving then, with truck in neutral, center up the front and rear shoes, put the drums on and adjust the shoes out to where they scrub when rotating the wheel. Then try the e-brake again. If better then follow the manual procedure for final adjustments. If the internal e-brake mechanism is not moving enough you may need to replace the "bell crank" on both sides. Not too difficult and there should be plenty of videos to help.

I replaced all of my speakers the Infinity Reference... then installed a nice Kenwood DPX head unit. More BOOM.

Thanks I am positive I have the cables on the springs in there they were a pain to get the clips back onto. I am thinking I didn't have it all centered before making my first adjustment. I'm going to try to just tighten them up a bit when I get home today. I ran out of daylight and energy last night to try to readjust.

Currently having a high-output alternator and an super-big-assed battery installed. I have too many accessories to remain stock.

The same guy is going to fabricate a new skid plate that will work with my new bumper.

    Stay tuned.

I just did my drums and shoes this past weekend. They are OEM with 203K miles on them! Still had life left on the shoes, crazy.

I just replaced the LHS and RHS rear parking brake cables after they seized on me at the top of a mountain in a blizzard. The bracket on the drum broke off.

Under the center console is where both the cables meet the single cable that runs to the foot pedal. There's an adjuster on the combiner, try that.

Not crazy and welcome to the club as my rears are still original currently sitting at 228k, although I'll admit it probably helps that most of my miles were highway and I don't brake like a suburban soccer mom.

Added some china rubber between the glass and dash to hopefully get rid of the cold weather rattle.

I didn't replace the front pads on the 2012 until 150k miles. They still had a couple of mm left (1 mm per pad). Most of the miles were from a 100 mile round trip daily interstate commute by the previous owner.
