Hi, apologies if this is in the wrong thread....first post.

I caught the front side of my bumper on a fence post and partially ripped off the small corner panel on the front left - I believe it's called the bumper extension?
    https://parts.toyota.com/p/Toyota_2...xtension-Left--Front/63411412/5211304050.html

It was held on by one last little clip onto the main bumper, inside upper part of the wheel arch (I undid this to get it off in the pic). All the other clips are broken and all but the last one of the blue pieces that the clips "clip" onto must have fallen off and are lost.

Aside from the broken clips the panel is undamaged and has no dents. The marks on the bumper extension are actually duct tape residue as I needed to temporarily tape it up. So if I can find a way to re-fit it, it'll look fine.

I was wondering if there is a way to fix the clips, or hold the bumper extension in place another way (safety and without looking crappy), or instead if the whole panel needs to be replaced?

If the whole panel needs to be replaced, do I need to take off the whole front bumper to replace it? Getting in behind the bumper to hold the blue clips (which are not fixed) while pushing on the new piece to clip it on will be difficult as the wheel arch is in the way.

    Thanks for any advice.

You get the new blue clips and straighten the tabs on the end cap. Gorilla glue the to the end cap and once cured snap it on. At worst it falls off down the road and you have to get a new one at that time. Also could try a junk yard and see if they have a white one.

Thanks for the suggestion. I found the clue clips at my local dealer. To get into the back of the bumper to clip it on do I have to take the entire bumper off or can I get into the back by removing the fender liner in the wheel arch?

Just pull back the fender well liner and you can reach in there just fine.

I may have the piece you need. If 2008 off road fits.

Thanks for the advice (and offer of the part) - I got it fixed with the help of a few zip ties.

There are 6 tabs on the inside of the bumper end cap / extension:
    - 1 wasn't broken
    - 2 were snapped but could be glued back together (I used gorilla epoxy). For one I had to use a zip tie to stop it peeling apart
    - 1 had the top part missing (I cut a piece of large zip tie and epoxied it on in place)

(These 4 could be fitted in place by the blue tabs I picked up from the dealership for $5 each)

    - 2 were completely gone (I epoxied small zip ties directly next to where the tabs had snapped off, making sure that they could fit through the appropriate hole on the bumper)

For these I pushed the ends of the zip ties through the hole in the bumper, then zipped them onto another bigger zip tie on the inside, which was too big to fit through the hole.

    So far so good!
