Exhaust relocate, Pasadena area.

I need to move my exhaust pipe up to clear the skid plate I bought. Looks easy to me but I thought I'd get some shop recommendations in the area.

I'm also thinking for the heat issue I'd wrap that section with some exhaust wrap but I haven't read on the Forums of anybody doing that so I thought I'd ask.

 

For the crossover section I'd have it ceramic coated. Many years ago I did a 3.4 swap in my '89 pickup and sent the headers and crossover pipe to Jet Hot Coatings for their basic coating. Coating worked as advertised, could work with my hands in and around the header and crossover pipe areas minutes after parking. Can't vouch for OTC rattle can types.

 

Any suggestions for a shop?

 

I think they’re just looking to have the exhaust rerouted so it’s further from the ground

 

He's also concerned about heat since it will be closer to the transfer case.
