    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Watching back the video, I don't think Dion was really feeding the stick hard enough for DC positive ground (The first time we tried it on Charlie's leaf spring). Travis did most of the welding, on the knuckle, the next morning and he was a lot more successful. He was feeding it harder and we were also cutting the sticks in half. It seemed to be working a lot better.

DC positive ground from 24V is probably a lot different than they are used to. I'm definitely going to spend some time sticking some metal together with it, for practice.

Looks like I will finally be checking out the eastern sierra's for the first time. Been trying to plan something but with my timing Tioga pass was always closed/snowed in. Will be staying in yosemite on friday and Sunday so was hoping to head out that direction to camp on saturday.

My plan is to first check out mono lake, Bodie, and an then Masonic to find a camp spot.

Or should I do in the reverse order and camp at Mono Lake?

Taking the wife. Hopefully she enjoys this quick trip.

Masonic shouldn't be too hard to find a spot. Mono Lake though, the back side in the sand is pretty nice but it's deep in places might not be the best solo. Drive down 167 about 5-7 miles and you'll see the trails that take you in the sand and down the back side of Mono. On the South end, 120 east, you can camp in the forest. Forest Road 1S13 is a good start.

If you would like to comment on the BLM's proposal to close significant OHV access in Moab, visit this web site and submit your comments now. The short answer is support alternative A, no change to the current condition (2008 plan). It's helpful to add things like the effect on the economy or the times you travel to the area.

    Tell your friends.

I picked up on what he wanted. He wanted an argument. I'm fortunate to have a busy and fulfilled life. I don't have to search out online augments to fill my time. Hopefully his life improves.

    Alright internet people of CA.
So I'm looking at another shit box and don't want to deal with CA emissions. Current shit box is registered at my parents address in VA.
My parents aren't too fond of me registering a third vehicle to their address, and I want to kind of avoid any problems that may bring.

    Theoretically speaking...
I've got a buddy that lives in a non-op county. Can I register said potential new shit box at his address and avoid CA smog? Or get a PO box there, and register it to the PO box address?

MattJ, I live in Siskiyou county. Altho they don't require annual smog checks of residents' vehicles, they still make us get smogged when a vehicle is registered here for the first time...

Any reason I can't register it there as a non-op to avoid the initial smog, then remove the non-op to avoid the smog?

I bought a pile with no motor but the previous owner didn’t pay his registration fees or non-op it.

DMV require me to smog it to change ownership before I could non op it. Couldn’t change ownership without a smog…

DMV didn’t care. I paid the back fees then put the motor in and smog’d it like 8 months later. I was also fined for everyday that it wasn’t smog’d and registered or non oped. Total cluster.

I found out that there was a super cool lady at AAA who helped me get $700 of fees waived. Just had to sign up for AAA.

No joke. The AAA lady helped me find the right form and coached me to use very specific language for a fee waiver.

I tried a fee wave once and they didn't go for it. I guess "I'm not fucking paying this!" wasn't the specific language they where looking for. lol

I already have a shitbox similar to your shit box. That I think mine is going to get parted out, might keep the engine for the incoming shitbox though

    And damn, figured they might.
The vehicle is currently registered in AZ so I don’t think the current owner will have to smog it prior to me taking it over.
It hasn’t been driven since 2013 though, it’ll turn over but runs pretty rough. No check engine lights but that’s not to say it’d pass smog. It’s in Northern CA currently - if I had confidence it’d pass smog, I’d smog it and just register it in non smog county.
