Yeah exactly what I've been going through. Bigger jobs are tough when they call you over for brake jobs and such in between. Makes you lose your focus on the task at hand.

The paper that came with the door literally said use silicone spray... The Garage door spray is mostly silicone anyways.

I have spring drive doors in my garage and they are the loudest things in the neighborhood I swear. I can't hear a dang thing over them when they are moving. Plus the Previous owners (flippers) decided the track was too low so just hand ripped drywall off the ceiling and pushed the track in there.

 

One of the last mechanical carnage photos I'll get to share with you guys from this job. Found new work and probably won't have nearly as many interesting photos moving forwards.

This is one of the two "anvils" in our chipper. It's the harder one to replace, hence why we haven't touched it in over a year until today. Needless to say, it's missing some carbide....

 

Hell if I know, I think there some type of wear block that get a 10 degree taper once I get done with them. Manual guys are doing 5 10s this week so just trying to help them out.

PB Blaster makes a garage door lubricant (works great on leaf springs too) that I believe it lithium based.

Going to a smaller family company, nine employees total including me. Rebuilding hydraulic cylinders for dump bodies on cab and chassis vehicles, as well as rebuilding PTO's. I'll also be the front counter/delivery guy and general shop assistant when mechanics need a hand putting a dump body or roll back on a chassis.
