1982 hilux.jpg hilux interior.jpg I have had her about 2 weeks I have allways wanted a Hilux .I had a 1972 Toyota Landcruiser FJ-40 in high school and regret selling it till this day. I have had 7 Tacomas starting in 95- 4x4 98 4x4 single cab bought one the first year they were available and bought a T-100 4x4 and several tacomas with the 2016 blazing blue pearl last. I bought the Hilux from a super nice man locally who looked for 2 years to find it. I think before that it was used on a hunting plantation in Albany Ga. I have replaced the fuel pump added the missing rear fender flares restored the toolbox and rims with grey flake and put in a pair of bucket seats out of a 2018 wrecked VW car and added front bumber protector I had to make brackets for. I custom made some brackets for seats that were offset, put on some modified step rails I cut off a Nissan and I have ordered a dash and stereo kit and carpet kit with floor liner and replaced rear view mirrors . I have done some minor body work and replaced the gear boot and adding a console added rear Fox heavy duty shocks .The truck has a modified 22R engine that was re geared for the brand new 35s and custom camo paint, Will post more pics as I move along with her..

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Nice! By far the best pickup's ever made!

I see an LCE sticker and a Weber.

I have a 1982 long bed. Where did you get the rear fender flares?

Got to love those old solid axle pickups. I had an old '81 SR5 short bed (my avatar) that I finally sold after owning it for years.

Hey brother, Not to bust any bubbles. But that’s a regular 1st Gen Toyota pick up. US version. Not a hilux.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Hilux started in 1968 and in 1972 for the 2nd generation, in the U.S. they changed the name to just "Pickup" or "Truck". So depending on how you look at it, this bodystyle was the 3rd generation for the Hilux and 2nd for the "Pickup". But they are pretty much the same truck with just different branding, are they not?
