Hello everyone! I sold my Tacoma and purchased a 1794 Edition Tundra. I recently sold the rest of my system to a great member and I still have the head unit and would like to sell it to someone who will take good care of it and put it to good use. Most everyone knows the Pioneer DMH-WC6600NEX, especially considering there is a thread just for that model.

    Model
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/new-pioneer-dmh-wc6600nex-flush-mount-install.668580/

Anyway, the head unit is amazing and is in great condition. I’m going to include the link of my build for those that haven’t seen it so you can see just how detail oriented and care I put into the truck which shows that it was very well taken care of. I will offer to sell just the head unit or the head unit with the datalink and harness and all the wires I have that go with it. I have a brand new Pioneer harness so that if you want to start from scratch you can also. If you have any additional questions or would like to purchase just let me know!

    My Build

    Price ***SOLD***
$900 + shipping: Head unit only
$1,000 + shipping: Head unit w/ datalink box thing and the datalink harness and I can try and walk you through the install process!

Been a while since ive looked at aftermarket head units. I used to have an avic model way back when, that was touchscreen. The screen had a "squishy" feeling when you navigated using the touchscreen. Is the screen on your head unit more like a smart phone screen, more solid? Hope this makes sense.

I definitely felt like it is. It does have the tactile thing but it feels solid. Definitely doesn’t feel cheap or thin.

Curious why you're selling? Going back to stock?

Hey man just saw this. I bought a 22 1794 Tundra so that 14” screen won’t be replaced in that truck. But yeah it’s a great HU for sure. The reviews are super good and it’s very user friendly and super customizable.

Is this head unit fully Bluetooth? For example i have a 21 Tacoma and it has the android auto.

But in order to use Google maps I have to plug in my USB to my phone for it to fully work with Google maps.

What I'm asking is can I connect the head unit to my phone, and have Google maps show up fully screen without a USB connection?

I love that it still has physical buttons. I hate when the controls are managed by a touchscreen.

    Great looking truck!

I am pretty much 99.9% it will. I had mine connected quite a bit for charging (since the Qi charger is junk). But… It worked fine by recognizing the phone that was Bluetooth with all the apps on mine. Tons of people have these so if they had issues that I’m not mentioning maybe someone else can chime in but I didn’t “have” to connect it once it’s paired etc. Hopefully that makes sense. Lol

Thanks for the reply.i hate having to connect it to the usb. One slight move of the USB charger cable, and the phone disconnects from the android auto, and stops playing music etc. Very annoying..

Truck's looking clean OP. One quick question though. Any particular reason you went for the 1794 instead of starting with a trim that had less chrome? I'm thinking about making the jump to the full size Tundra as well. How's that v6 turbo? Are you getting mpgs close to the taco?

One word… Interior. Oh two words and rear locker. Lol I wanted to 1794 with the OR package so I would have the locker and then the interior is just so nice man. It’s actually wood in the dash etc. it’s the little stuff that make it different. I’ll show a couple pics.

That looks very nice. I'm still on the fence, but I know I'm going to get tired of fighting the tight car seat in the taco. Enjoy the new ride and good luck selling the head unit.

Thanks man. The extra room is insane but driving it is def different. I had a manual Tacoma for one, and also it is a bit bigger obviously but you actually have some decent power which is nice! Have a good one!

I love the new Tundra and your configuration is beautiful. I use to hate a brown or tan interior but as I've gotten older, how much I love the appeal of it. While the Tundra is too much truck for my needs, I can't wait to unload my 2012 and get the new redesigned Tacoma. I don't have a doubt, that the new redesign will follow in the same direction of the Tundra. . . =)
