My Tacoma battery (7 years old) died with no real warning one morning last year as I was heading to work. This unit started it with no problem then and also when I left work.
I bought another one a couple months ago for the other car. It seems a little bit lighter, so I don’t know for sure that it has the same capacity.

And tapes (tape measures), I’ve had a few..

I bought that one for my SIL a couple of years ago according to Amazone. Glad to hear you have had good luck with the one you used. My SIL ever uses it and it doesn't work, I'm sure I will hear about it.

 

Appearance and specs-wise, my Winplus from Costco is exactly the same.



And you're not kidding about the battery life. It hasn't been charged in at least 6 months and it's still full.

 

Evening guys. Grass is mowed but I forgot to take a picture. Garage door opener is installed and working. Remotes are programmed. Car and truck are inside the garage. Wife is happy, life is good.

I have one of the Noco GB40s. It’s rated at 1000 amps, doesn’t list the CCA. Says it will start a 6 liter gas or 3 liter Diesel engine. I’ve see it jump a 5.7 Chevy off. They are handy little widgets.

 

Ha, mine is actually from Costco, I just didn't link it since I was unsure if the image would show. I charge mine like twice a year just to be safe if I don't use it on my tractors and mowers.

I was talking to my newest coworker today and he said that there probably aren't very many students at NDSU who's parents also work there. Even fewer that have access to their kids dorm building and room.

A few minutes later the conversation shifted to me taking my kid around just before classes started to show him where his classrooms are.

Again, coworker said that there's probably not many people that know campus as well as I do then said that I'm probably top 3. I disagreed with that number, but I get what he's saying. At a not specific level, I do have a decent amount of knowledge of campus stuffed into my brain but I wouldn't put me at top 3.

There is another skill to ask about, map reading. In FD we had to read maps till gps started , now I still break it out to read and make my younger guys know how to use the grid system. Hell we had a map test when I started.I am still printing back up maps before trips with my family. Make my kids read them

I've had one of the Jumpstart tire inflation tools for maybe 4 years. It's Stanley brand name. I don't keep it in the vehicle because of its larger size but it has been used to Jumpstart vehicles several times no issues. I purchased a smaller battery boost for my daughter's Jeep and the one time she needed to use it....failed. I think because her battery was near end of life and she possibly left lights on or something.
I should look at a more compact booster for my own vehicle.
Now small compressor for airing up tires, one in every vehicle.
A larger Viair in the Jeep with 35's

 

If he was worried that I was going to just walk my way into his room unannounced, he would have gone to *shudders* UND in Grand Forks.

 

I LOVE the GPS but I still look at maps before we go on a trip to get a lay of the land so I have an idea where things are located.

I haven't printed them for the kids, though.

 

With my dad being on the FD growing up he was constantly studying maps for whatever station he was at. We would also sit somewhere while he looked at the atlas while on trips.

It was cool going to town with him though, we'd take the "shortcut" and take as many back roads as we could.

I try that now and the kids will ask where are we? My wife will say this is one of your dads "shortcuts"
